About Us

Our Charity Partnership - Nourish Community Foodbank

We’re over the moon to announce our new charity partnership with Nourish Community Foodbank.

The charity is a lifeline to so many families in and around our local area and we are delighted to be supporting them as they continue to deliver their amazing services in the face of ever-increasing demand.

Of the families and individuals Nourish serves, 48% of children are under 18, one in ten are either ill or have had an accident, one in 7 are victims of domestic violence and it is estimated that one in six children in our region live in poverty. (Take a look at our press release here)

There are lots of activities over the coming year that we would love you to get involved with, but we are launching our partnership before Christmas in order to help with their ’12 days of Christmas’ campaign. The campaign encourages individuals to simply collect one food item from Nourish’s wish list each day for the first 12 days of Christmas (see image on the right for full list), the donations will then be used to help someone in crisis. For more information or to get involved, contact Claire Champneys, Commercial Manager at S&S Distribution, via email: [email protected]

If a reverse advent calendar is not for you, why not use Nourish’s text-to-donate scheme and buy a Christmas dinner for a family in crisis: Text Food £20 to 70085. Or alternatively you can donate a figure of your choice through our Just Giving page: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ssdistribution-nourish
