Kent based transport and logistics provider S&S Distribution are supporting Tonbridge based drinks manufacturer and distributor Atom Group to deliver their busiest time of year once again, as they plan for another record breaking Christmas period.
Atom Group is a pioneering offering, with a stable that includes the award winning e-commerce platform Master of Malt, wholesaler Master of Malt Trade, distributor Maverick Drinks and their own drinks development and production arm Atom Brands (which is behind renown bottles that include Bathtub Gin, Rumbullion! and Jaffa Cake Drinks).
Since partnering with S&S for the last seven years, both companies have seen triple growth across both workforce and physical premises. Now, as the businesses prepare for the festive period it is clear to see that not only are we seeing an uplift in orders from the on trade hospitality industry, but also an increase in off trade retailers, signifying that not only are consumers venturing out in a post Covid world once again, but there is also a significant movement for home imbibing.
“The holiday season is inevitably a busy time for the drinks industry and it is therefore vital that we ensure we maintain a consistent delivery service on behalf of Atom during this period,” says Romas Kusneraitis, Director S&S Distribution. “The rapid increase in deliveries requires essential planning to get ahead of the game and ensure there are enough vehicles to cover each of our delivery routes.
Over the years this partnership has gone from strength to strength growing exponentially from 10-15 pallets per week to what will be between 100-200 pallets per week during peak period. Throughout its relationship Atom have needed a flexible distribution service that can react quickly to the ever-changing landscape with the run up to Christmas being no exception.

S&S provides a daily stand trailer to Atom when increased pallet loads are expected, during the busier holiday periods, and a second trailer often dispatched to fulfil any remaining pallet requirements. This specialist service allows Atom to fully utilise the trailer space without the worry of missing dispatch schedules or delivery dates.
