S&S DISTRIBUTION RECALIBRATES WAREHOUSING TO TACKLE YEAR END RUSH

Kent based transport and logistics provider S&S Distribution, which is part of Palletline Logistics, has recalibrated its warehousing capacity in order to provide a solution to ever increasing demands on warehousing capacity as 2023 comes to a close.

With retailers likely to offer blockbuster deals in response to shoppers being strapped for cash, S&S Distribution’s decision to free up space has come at a time where it looks to support customers both existing and meet new industry demand.

As demand for warehousing capacity continues to overtake supply, the struggle to source space is only likely to become ever heightened over the holiday season as retailers approach their busiest time of year.

Located in Tonbridge, just over an hour from Folkstone and Dover, S&S Distribution operates a fully racked warehousing space, split between two separate warehouses with CCTV and 24/7 security and remote monitoring.

Offering tailormade packages to cover all aspects of the supply chain, S&S Distribution can assist clients from receiving container loads of stock for palletisation and storage to onward delivery either through the Palletline or Hazchem networks or on a dedicated vehicle.

“While volumes may not be as high as last year due to the cost-of-living crisis, we are still anticipating a significant hike as British shoppers look to bag bargains in the run-up to Christmas,” said Romas Kusneraitis, Director of S&S Distribution.

“In preparation, we have freed up space in our warehousing facility to ensure customers avoid the frustration of being unable to source sufficient capacity to store their stock during the demanding peak period.

Romas continued: “As a business we have always strived to become an extension of their organisation by providing the highest levels of customer service you would expect your own team to deliver – and recalibrating our warehousing space once again demonstrates this ethos as we continue supporting our customers during their most challenging season.”
